Rachel Sanchez of The Lash Lounge Albuquerque – NE
Rachel Sanchez is a lash stylist and trainer here at The Lash Lounge Albuquerque. Rachel is from New Mexico and after high school attended the University of New Mexico where she received a BA in Business Administration. Rachel then attended beauty school at a local Aveda Institute where she got her esthetician’s license. Shortly after getting her esthetician’s license, Rachel joined the Lash Lounge team in November of 2019. Rachel completed her lash certification in early February of 2020 and in the Spring of 2020, she became a stylist trainer with The Lash Lounge New Mexico.
“I became an esthetician because I loved the idea of being able to help people love the skin they’ve been blessed with. I chose the Esthetics program at Aveda because I believe in the power of enhancing what has already been given to help boost overall confidence. We’re all created beautifully, and I love helping others realize the beauty they harness!”

With her upbeat and positive attitude, Rachel was a natural fit for The Lash Lounge. Where we are looking to help others feel beautiful in their own skin.
“I was so excited to learn how to lash once I graduated from Esthetician school, however I thought it would be something I would learn later down the road. When I heard about The Lash Lounge I was so impressed with the professionalism and expertise that each stylist had. Being associated with The Lash Lounge name is a huge honor.”
And we are honored to have Rachel as a part of our team! Rachel comes into work each and every day with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. She empowers not only her guests but everyone around her.
“My favorite part of being a stylist is being able to connect with clients every day either through providing a quality set of lashes or talking about life. Having the ability to meet new people regularly is a wonderful perk to the position!
I really love the supportive, positive environment that is cultivated between staff and guests. I love to make my clients feel beautiful as well as give them a small opportunity to relax or catch up during their weeks. I’ve built so many amazing relationships with clients and co-workers and each one of them have enriched days tenfold.“
Working at The Lash Lounge has been a fun experience for many. One of the most fun things about working at The Lash Lounge is getting to attend events. In January of 2020 Rachel was selected to attend the New Mexico Wedding Expo. She took the opportunity to grow and network with guests, colleagues and other businesses.
While working for The Lash Lounge can be a whirlwind of fun, there are challenging aspects about the position too. When asked, “What was it like to become a certified lash stylist?”, Rachel responded by saying,
“Becoming a Certified Lash Stylist was one of the most challenging things I have ever experienced. At first it was incredibly frustrating to develop the skills needed. Trying to understand and fully apply all of the knowledge that was presented during training was massively intimidating. Looking back to those times makes me proud to be in the position I am now. Now I get the opportunity to help other new stylists through those tough periods.”
Thankfully Rachel powered through because she has build a full schedule of guests and has not stopped growing since starting her position.
For all the hard work that Rachel puts in to her position at The Lash Lounge, she always tries to take some time for herself,
“I really love using my time outside of work to relax and recharge. Now that the weather is getting warmer, I’m taking full advantage of hiking and taking walks down on the Bosque. I enjoy our weekly movie/dinner nights with my family and having chill nights in with my husband!”
Family has been a very important part of Rachel’s life. She regularly spends time with family and friends and pups too! Rachel shared this adorable photo or her parent’s dog Ryder (pictured)!
“Ryder is a 100lb yellow lab who loves to go hunting and fishing but most of all, he loves smothering us on the couch. He melts my heart on the daily but is 100% my husband’s best friend.”
Rachel said her favorite quote is,
“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.” -Proverbs 3: 3
Because, “This just is a daily reminder for me to be intentional with loving those around me. Respect and love are the two qualities that I make sure to show the people I interact with everyday.”
Rachel is a strong, caring, and empathic person. With an incredible work ethic, positive attitude and determination. She has worked towards so much while working with us at The Lash Lounge Albuquerque – NE. We are so always happy to see her in the salon and couldn’t imagine a work environment without her.
