This month we wanted to catch up and reflect with a former employee, Jacque Jiron. Keep reading to see what she’s been up to!

Jacque Jiron first started working at The Lash Lounge in January 2021 and was employed until July 2022. She started as a lash stylist with zero experience. As time went on, Jacque gained the knowledge and experience to excel at her job.

When looking back on her career at The Lash Lounge, Jacque was very proud to see her progress. When she started training, Jacque had to learn one of the hardest technical lash sets: a volume full set with handmade 2D-5D fans.

“I remember my very first training model was here for 4 hours and I had maybe 6 fans on each eye. I felt defeated. But, with the help of my trainer and peers, I was able to finish my volume sets within standard time.”

Jacque said that her biggest takeaway from her position at The Lash Lounge was patience

“It takes two hours to complete a full set. Within those two hours, I was able to connect with my client, make them comfortable, and build their confidence.”

Patience is a big part of being a lash stylist and is something that we all need to masters, no matter our career choice. Another thing that Jacque learned while working at The Lash Lounge was to be open and honest with her clients.

“If I was not able to do lashes the client wanted because it would compromise the integrity of their natural lashes, I had to be honest and let them know!”

This is important because it builds trust between a stylist and their clients. We are looking out for our clients and want to keep their lashes healthy and strong!

When asked what she misses most about The Lash Lounge, Jacque stated that she misses her friends (coworkers).

“I worked with the coolest, friendliest, and down to earth people that i’ve ever met. The atmosphere Brooke built is something I don’t believe I will find ever again.”

When Jacque left The Lash Lounge, it was to continue her prior position at a resort, but that didn’t end up working out. So, she saw this as the perfect opportunity to go back to school. Jacque now works at two local spas. She is working part time as an esthetician while also attending school full time for her massage therapy license.

Jacque wanted to share some personal life changes! Her daughter is 3 years old and is starting preschool.

“This mama is a nervous wreck, but I know she will be fine”

Massage school is also going fantastic for Jacque. Once she starts clinicals, she knows that The Lash Lounge lash stylists are going to need some ‘me time’.

“Come see me for a massage!”

We miss you Jacque! We are happy to hear that you are doing great and proud of you for your accomplishments. Also, we wish you the best of luck on whatever else you choose to do in the future.
