While wedding season may continue to look a little different in 2021, one thing has not changed: brides want to look and feel their best on their big day! See what one bride and Lash Lounge franchisee, Kailey, shared about her own wedding journey with lash extensions and her advice to fellow brides!
A Surprise Engagement, Lash Extensions Included!
Kailey, a Texas native, was head over heels about her beau, Paul whom she had been dating for 2 years.
Their courtship was magical and it was only a matter of time before he popped the question, which he did on February 24, 2019 in Houston, Texas. 💍 The proposal was a total surprise and Kailey’s big moment included another love in her life: her lashes! “Luckily, I did have lash extensions the day I got engaged! I was so thankful then and still thankful now that I had them because I was not expecting to be proposed to that day (big surprise!) and they definitely helped my appearance!”
Not long after their engagement, Kailey and Paul made another big life decision together. They purchased their first Lash Lounge franchise and became the proud owners of The Lash Lounge Allen – Watters Creek located outside of Dallas, Texas. Kailey was on cloud nine!
Lash Look Secured, New Wedding Plans Made
During the exciting wedding planning process, Kailey was so happy she had her custom lash extensions which included a full set of mega volume lashes! As a business owner and bride-to-be, anything to make her beauty routine and life in general easier was welcomed. Along with the planning came wedding events and festivities, including showers and bridal portraits. Kailey was overjoyed that her lash extensions allowed her to look and feel her best during each epic event!
With most of the wedding plans made and locked in place, Kailey felt good about how things were progressing toward the big day. However, an unforeseen obstacle reared its ugly head months before the wedding: COVID-19. Ultimately Kailey and Paul had to make the tough decision to cancel their original plans to wed in Carmel, California. As the resilient couple they are, they rolled with the necessary change and made new, just as magical plans to say “I do” closer to home. While Kailey had to rearrange some of their wedding plans, one constant that remained was her beloved lash extensions! 👰🏼
Benefits of Wedding Lashes…For Everyone
When the wedding day finally arrived in May of 2020, Kailey felt as beautiful and confident as ever. Yes, the original plans she and Paul had made took a detour, but their big day was just as special. The celebration didn’t stop at the wedding! A few months after they officially said, “I do”, Kailey and Paul held a reception at their lake house, and it was an affair to remember!
The reception took place in August, which is a sweltering month in Texas. Most brides would have been concerned about the heat taking a toll on their look, but Kailey’s mind was once again at ease. She knew that her trusted lash extensions would withstand the heat AND even hold up to all the time she planned to spend on the dance floor. 💃🏼
Knowing that the heat was probably a concern for the special ladies in her life, Kailey shared the gift of ease and confidence. “My mother-in-law, sister and best friend all got lash extensions at my salon and each of them went for full sets of volume extreme lashes! They all looked so gorgeous and didn’t have to worry about any lash mishaps!”

“I can’t tell you how much I love lash extensions for a bridal look! It’s safe to say I’ve had them for every major moment in my adult life so it was a no brainer that I had them when I got married! You don’t have to worry about a strip lash hanging on for dear life when you’re dancing the night away AND you can even enjoy them on your honeymoon! We went to Cabo for our honeymoon and it was so nice to just get up, throw on a swimsuit, sunscreen, and not have to worry about putting on makeup. Your lashes give you just enough definition so you feel put together! “
There’s so many worries on a bride’s mind when it comes to her wedding, so how she will look on her big day (and for all the events in between) should not be one of them! When Kailey thinks back about the moment she got engaged, her wedding, her enchanting lake-side reception and even her dreamy honeymoon, she cannot imagine all of those experiences without her trusted eyelash extensions. Even now, anytime she speaks to a bride-to-be, whether it’s a friend or one her guests at her salon, she cannot recommend lash extensions enough!
