5 Tips For Focusing on Mind and Body Wellness This Year
January 3rd was International Mind-Body Wellness Day and that got us thinking: 2025 is THE year to focus on YOU! Focus on your mind, your body and your overall wellness.
Before you dive into our tips below, remember this: JUST START! Yes, consistency is key but if you simply make it a point to start and implement all or some of the things below, you’ll be on your way to giving your body and mind what it needs in the new year and beyond!
5 Tips to Reach Your Mind, Body and Wellness Goals
Tip 1: List and Categorize Your 2025 Goals
We know, we know…listing your goals for a new year is not a new tip. BUT it’s one that does help you plan and see what you need to focus on. Our tip for you goes beyond simply making a list, we suggest you categorize it! 📝
- Make categories such as health, career, body and mind, finances, relationships, fitness, organization, and any other personal goals that you want to focus on in the new year.
- You can easily see the goals you have by category AND if you want to choose one category to work on at a time, you’ll have those goals listed and ready.
Tip 2: Pay Attention To How You Fill Your Mind
From TV, social media, music, chatter and more, we are constantly filling our minds and often we don’t even realize what we’re filling it with. This year, take note of WHAT it is you’re putting in your mind, what you’re listening to, who you’re talking to, what you’re reading, whatever it may be.
- What we fill our minds with can have a profound impact on our happiness, overall mood, motivation, and more.
- For example, if you realize you’ve been watching, looking or listening to things that don’t leave you feeling good, it’s time to change course and find other things that bring peace, positivity, inspiration and joy to your mind.
Tip 3: Rest and Reset…Regularly!
Trust us when we tell you, making rest and time to reset a priority in 2025 is a non-negotiable!
- Ensure you’re getting at least 7 hours of good sleep a night (need a sleep mask?).
- Allow yourself time to reset by meditating, going for a walk or doing something that makes you feel refreshed.
Your mind, body and soul NEEDS it and on a regular basis!
Tip 4: Find the Right Food and Fitness Fuel For Your Body
Yep, we’re here with another staple new year’s tip because from food to fitness, many of us need a reminder of what GOOD fuel is.
- For food, like we noted before, take an inventory of what you’re eating (and drinking).
- How does it make you feel? If it’s not great, make a change.
- Another suggestion: Experiment with new foods and food routines.
- Give different, healthy things a try and see how you feel like a homemade superfood smoothie for breakfast instead of a bowl of sugary cereal.
- Same goes for fitness —try new fitness routines and find one that you think you can stick to (this is key!).
- Even if it’s as simple as walking for 15 minutes every day vs spending an hour in the gym a few times a week, if you can move and groove during your walk (maybe carry some light weights 💪 or change your route for different visual locations) and do it consistently, we say go with that!
- If you’re not a gym person, don’t set yourself up for failure by thinking you’ll go 4x a week. Do what you know you’ll stick with and even enjoy eventually!

Tip 5: Make Routine A Focus in 2025
Lastly, routine is KEY! From the tips above to anything you want to implement that will benefit your mind-body wellness goals, make it a routine.
- The more you stick with something, the more it will become a part of your regular routine.

- Give something at least 2 weeks! If you feel like it’s a breeze to stick to, you’re on the right track. If not, give it a little longer or tweak the routine to make it easier to ace.
